What is an MATV (central dish) system?
MATV stands for Master Antenna Television. One set of satellite dishes and antennas on the roof receives the channels, a head-end amplifies and processes the signals, and a cable network distributes them to every apartment, room or screen in the building. Each user gets the channels through a wall outlet without installing a private dish.
